Today was like any other day in our house. There were errands that needed to be ran, chores to be done, a phone calls that needed to made! Our first stop on our "To Do" list was the grocery store! We definately needed groceries, and by the look of my list--we won't starve anytime soon!
Overall, we (the kids, hubby, and I) had a fairly good shopping experience. The ONLY set back that was thrown at us me was that the hubby went to the store on an empty belly with me! Not a good thing....especially for my grocery bill!! I plan out my meals for the week and then make my grocery list (see above) based on that menu. I must say, he didn't go outrageous, so I won't whoop him...this time!
Notice how there isn't bananna pudding or bratwurst on our menu! |
Now once we've gotten home, gotten the groceries unloaded, and lunch fixed and eaten, it was time to start making some pudding! As promised, I let Mr. J help me...and this made a cute little Ms. T pretty pouty!! She's normally mommy's helper in the kitchen! So we got all of our ingredients out and off we went. Mr. J laid out the cookies, layered them with bananna's (that mommy sliced), then mommy layered some pudding over that. He and I kept repeating that pattern until we ran out of ingredients! And for dinner, Mr. Homemaker decided HE WOULD COOK!! He grilled us these amazing beer 'n bratwurst sausages! And he grilled beef brats for this kiddos!! We had an amazing dinner and dessert thanks to the men of the house!!

The Southern Susie Homemaker Bananna Pudding Recipe
1 box Vanilla Wafers
2pkgs. Vanilla Pudding (fixed according to package directions)
4 medium bananna's (sliced)
Prepare the vanilla pudding per package directions. Layer in your pan wafers, bananna's, and then top with pudding. Keep repeating this until you end up with pudding as your last and final layer. Once that's done, pop it in to the fridge to chill for a few hours. Enjoy!
