I know I was pretty much MIA yesterday. Mr Homemaker had an interview in Concord. When he got home from that, we decided to head out for lunch and have a family day. We took the kids to this great burger place in Harrisburg, 3 Monkeys! That place is AWESOME! They really do have great food. When we left there, we made a stop by Grandma's job to pick up some dry cleaning and share some ice cream with her.
When we left the dry cleaners, we decided to head out to Concord Mills. We hung out there for a while, or should I say quite a while. Long enough that we ended up having dinner at the Chili's in the food court (per Mr. J's request). We had our dinner and told the kids that if they behaved really well and ate all of their dinner that we had a suprise for them. That surely peaked their interest, but little did they know that we had been planning their suprise all day!
Onto the suprise! We took the kids to see the new Disney Pixar movie "Cars 2". Both kids are in love with Lightning McQueen and Mater. When we pulled up to the theater and they realized what we were doing, they were estatic and on cloud nine! I will say, the movie was quite cute...and the fact that Miss T fell asleep sitting up straight during the movie was even cuter! All in all, our day yesterday was pretty fun and enjoyable. It never hurts to have a day devoted to bonding as a family!
We had another pretty busy day with Mr. Homemaker seeing as how this was his 3rd interview in 3 days and then running errands that needed to be done! I did try something new for breakfast this morning, Lemon Blueberry Scones! These scones turned out great and left Mr. J asking "mommy, can you fix this for breakfast every single day????". You know it's a hit when the picky eater in the house asks for this again!
Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!
