(Please ignore the horrible-ness of the photo...the photos were taken with my phone)
33 days! That's how many days there are until Halloween!!!
We are super giddy in my home about the impending holiday.
To help curb the "mommy when's halloween?" "how much longer 'til we get to dress up and trick or treat?" questions, I've come up with an advent calendar!
There is a suprise (goody) or an activity for each day until October 31st.
I wanted to make an advent calendar for the kids and while perusing Pinterest and Tip Junkie, I found some oh so cute calendar tutorials. BUT..I honestly wasn't diggin' the whole thought of loading us all up and heading to the store for the supplies. So, I raided my house!
That's right, everything I have used to make this was found in my house!
My supplies were:
Lg posterboard
Cardstock
Ribbon
Computer print out numbers
Glue
Glitter
All I did was cut my card stock into squares and glued them on to the posterboard to create a pocket. I took my ribbon and just glued it about on the cardstock. Then I printed out numbers from my computer and glued them to the cardstock and ribbon. For my halloween word, I wrote it out in glue and covered it in glitter. Then I printed out from my computer the activity slips that include photos of the activity.
Super cheap and the kids will have tons of fun and something to look forward to each day!
